Kota Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu is situated on the tropical island of Borneo and is the state capital of the Malaysian state Sabah, one of the two states of East Malysia. The location of the city is absolutely amazing, and from the airport it is just a short ride to mostly any hotel. The Nepenthes

The Nepenthes, also known as pitcher plant are carnivorous. A plant with leaves that are pitcher-shaped to attract, trap, and digest insects. Found mostly along the foothills of the Crocker Range where the rainfall is high. Locally it is also known as the "Monkey Cup" where monkeys virtually drink the contents from cup to quench their thirst.

Tawau Hills Park

If "green" is your taste, then Tawau Hills Park is the place for you. This 28,000 hectares park is a protected forest located in east coast of Sabah, Malaysia. A short drive from the town of Tawau.

Mount Kinabalu

Orang Utan

Another endangered primate of Borneo is the "Orang Utan" translated to mean "the jungle people". The is an established sancuntry in Sandakan Sipilok where they are fed, protected and trained to be reintroduced into the jungle nearby. Proboscis Monkeys
